MVP Commercials

If you have been watching the NBA playoffs then you have probably seen the new nike lebron and Kobe puppet commercials. I think the new commercials are hilarious, and i like that nike is bringing back the puppet theme, tapping into the old school penny spirit. I have been really surprised by the number and quality of commercials they have produced. The most recent features the MVP's baby sitting their neighbor's son lil Dez. Why did you cut your fro? Have you ever eaten an empinanda? I think a lot of us would have a similar reaction to that many pairs of shoes.

Gallows

British hardcore band "Gallows" just released the video for their single "London is the Reason" off their sophomore album "Grey Britain". The video features similar sentiments to that of N.W.A. with regard to the police. although their first album "Orchestra of Wolves" which was a little more punk in nature was a favorite of mine, the new album which is a little more hard rock is still taking some time to grow on me. Never the less, if you enjoy hardcore concerts in which you might get close enough to the lead singer to put your arm around him and sing into the mike, or punch him in the mouth and get his blood on you, then you might want to check out a Gallows concert, the energy and atmosphere their lead singer Frank brings is unrivaled. Fuck the police!

Break our your Oakleys and hightops,HARD Fest 2009 just released their Line-up for their electropop dance festival on August 8th in Los Angeles. The guys who brought you the likes of NERD, MSTRKRFT, Spank Rock, and Kid Sister last year, now have a line-up stacked with Underworld, Chromeo, Crookers, Crystal Castles,The Bloody Beet Roots and A-trak. Wouldn't have minded seeing soulwax, or Justice on the list, but the line-up is solid as is. If your in the Cali Area, this is something you don't want to miss.
